Al Hassan Electricals joins hands with Vimar SpA Italy (18 Jan. 2011)

Launches Eikon & Plana wiring devices and By-Me Home Automation System

Vimar SpA, Italy, one of the world’s leading manufacturers of wiring accessories and automation systems, plans to develop Oman's high-end market with its unique product design and reliable quality. This was announced by Vimar officials during a product launch event organized alongside its newly appointed Oman based partner, Al Hassan Electricals Co. LLC (AHE), at the Intercontinental Hotel, Muscat on 17 January.

The event was attended by high profile lighting designers, architects, interior designers, consultants and representatives of media.

The Al Hassan Lighting Team was in full attendance led by Hassan bin Ali Salman, Chairman - Al Hassan Group and Maqbool Ali Salman, MD - Al Hassan Group. Vimar SpA, Italy was led by Ivano Roman, Middle East Regional Manager and Eng. Luca Telatin, Technical Support.

"The projects where Vimar’s products would find application are hotels, villas and upscale buildings", said Mr. Roman. He added : Italian modular design and reliable quality will give it an edge over the competition from other international brands. Vimar products reflect the world-famous Italian design and style combined with functionality and ease of use.

Mr. Hassan bin Ali Salman in his opening remarks mentioned that Al Hassan Lighting and Automation Division which was set up as recently as 2007 has been able to quickly establish itself as a "Total Solutions Provider" in Oman in terms of Lighting design, Automation Systems Design, products supply and services to a wide range of projects from inception until successful completion. Major projects awarded in the last four years include Royal Opera House, The Wave Muscat, Asian Beach Games - Mussannah, New Psychiatric Hospital – Amerat, VVIP Lounge - Muscat International Airport, Qurum City Centre, New Digital TV Studio Complex, Central Prison, etc.

Mr. Salman reiterated that Al Hassan Lighting has professionally qualified & experienced Lighting Engineers available to support end-customer / architect / consultant / contractor at all stages of a project. He added that organizing major events like the Product Launch with Vimar were part of AHE’s endeavour to increase customer awareness about the latest technological and design innovations in Wiring Devices, Lighting Controls and Automation.

Eikon : Italian style as the sign of new living

Later, Mr. Roman presented the "Eikon" wiring accessories to the audience. Eikon embraces new lifestyles, appealing to our senses with every detail of its sophisticated Italian style; it can be tailor-made with 5 different types of precious materials and more than 100 colors or finishing to choose from to personalize the cover plates: from pastels to iridescent tones and wood grain finishes.

Plana : essentiality speaks Italian

Vimar later uncovered its unrivaled line of "Plana" wiring accessories. With its clean and smooth lines, Plana series represents the ultimate synthesis in Italian design to occupy space in a new way with the maximum choice of combinations. The buttons - in delicate white or brilliant high-tech silver - ideally complement the colours and materials of the cover plates, to create a supremely elegant look in any setting. Plana is available for comfort, security, energy saving and emergency lighting devices.

By-me : Bringing automation within easy reach.

Subsequently, Mr. Roman presented the By-me automation system, designed to be compatible with every kind of home and lifestyle, helping to make our daily lives easier and more comfortable.

By-me is an easy-to-program system for the coordinated management of all functions traditionally controlled using standard devices such as switches, dimmers, timers and video door entry systems; usually the latter devices are not able to interact and therefore cannot be programmed or managed from a single supervision point. With By-me, however, the household electrical installation is integrated into a centralized system, allowing for extremely effective regulation and control. Simply by pressing a button, the user can select one of 32 different temperature, lighting and comfort settings, configured according to daily needs. This reliable and automatic system even communicates with the user via mobile phone when we are away from home. The system monitors the status of home appliances, promptly reporting alarms to the user.

All the product lines drew good reviews from the audience who welcomed these products with enthusiasm. The presentations were followed by an Interactive session wherein audience got a first hand feel of the products on display. The large attendance at the seminar is a testimony of the satisfied customers of Al Hassan Electricals.
