Al Hassan Switchgear organizes Technical Seminar in Qatar (05 Jun 09)

Al Hassan Switchgear Manufacturing Co. LLC, the manufacturing arm of the Al Hassan Group of Companies, organized a technical seminar at Grand Regency Hotel in Doha, Qatar recently. Al Hassan Switchgear is by far the leader in Oman with 65% market share and a large portion of its production is exported to AGCC countries. More than fifty leading consultants, engineers, contractors and end users attended the half day seminar. The seminar was organized in collaboration with Mannai Trading Company our trading partners in Qatar.

The seminar was inaugurated by Eng. Talal Al-Assaad, CEO of Manufacturing & Trading SBUs of Al Hassan Group. In his keynote address, Eng. Talal emphasized that Al Hassan manufacturing facilities conform to the highest quality standards (ISO 9001 : 2000 compliant) and are certified by leading international testing authorities including KEMA (Netherlands), ASTA (UK), UL(US). Al Hassan’s extensive product validation includes performance in extreme climatic conditions, especially the hot weather of the Gulf region. Al Hassan Switchgear products are hence the preferred choice for several prestigious and critical applications in the region. He stressed that Al Hassan as a market leader is alive to continuously keep its customers updated about the recent developments in the ever-changing technology landscape and the technical seminar was a step in the same direction.

Later, Mr. Narayana Sudarsan, General Manager, Al Hassan Switchgear gave a technical presentation covering various state of the art topics like Intelligent Motor Control Centres (IMCC) with mobile phone enabled controls, Advantages of Vacuum over Sf6 technology and Al Hassan Intelligent DBs. He also shared with the audience that Al Hassan has developed products based on web technology in line with future trends.

This was followed by an interactive question and answer session. Later, the General Manager of Al Mannai Trading Company thanked the audience which was followed by a networking lunch.

This technical seminar was an immediate hit with the audience as some of them wanted the technical seminar sessions to be held again in future for the benefit of their full teams. Al Hassan Switchgear has also received enquiries for many of its products.
