Al Hassan Group takes part in SQU Career Fair (31 March 2011)

In support of Oman’s drive to ensure broader and more challenging job opportunities for the youth, Al Hassan Group of Companies recently participated in a three-day Career and Training Opportunities Fair held at the Sultan Qaboos University (SQU).

The fair is an annual event at SQU and helps identify potential candidates for future training and placement from a large talent pool of promising students.

Al Hassan Group personnel were on hand to meet job seekers and interact with them on various career options at the fair.

The Al Hassan stall was visited by hundreds of Omani Students passing out from various colleges/universities in Oman. Both male and female students turned out in large numbers at the Al-Hassan Stall. Keen interest was shown by students to participate in Al Hassan’s Omani Management Trainee Program. The organizers of the Career fair felicitated

Al Hassan and appreciated the efforts put in by the Group through its University Industry Interface. Apart from HR personnel, Al Hassan stall was manned by Abbas Al Balushi, SQU Alumnus while the award was received by our employee Hamad Hamood Mohammed al Rashd.

Commenting on Al Hassan’s participation, Mr. Maqbool Ali Salman, Managing Director, said, "SQU is one of the best universities in Oman and Al Hassan is privileged to be associated with the prestigious university. The current participation in the fair presents an ideal platform to support educational institutions and to exchange occupational information to guide career planning as Al Hassan Group reinforces its commitment to recruiting, training and developing Omani nationals".

Over the past 35 years, Al Hassan Group has invested in building local human capital and recruited a pool of Omani talent as part of its multi-cultural workforce in various positions throughout the organisation from Senior Management to Sales, Business Development, Finance & Accounts, Procurement, Engineering and Construction.
