Al Hassan Engineering Company expands into UAE with Siemens Substation Contract (07 Feb 09)

Al Hassan Engineering Co. Dubai LLC, a subsidiary of Al Hassan Engineering Co. SAOG, Oman (AHEC) has been awarded by Siemens a multi-million dollar contract for Civil works for a Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) 400/132kV Substation.

The Project scope for AHEC includes Full Civil Works for the 400/132kV Substation comprising Earthworks, Buildings, Equipment Compounds, Roads, Lighting and Small Power.

Acceptance of challenges and setting new standards in terms of Project Completion has been a hallmark of the operations of AHEC. This has been demonstrated in the completion of EPC projects like the FIRST Petrochemicals Plant in Oman Polypropylene Project, the LARGEST Power Plant in Oman – 1000 MW Sohar Aluminum Smelter Plant, the FIRST Aromatics Plant – Aromatics Oman LLC, Sohar, the first Project for 220 kV interconnection of electrical grids between Oman and UAE, 132kV Fahud – Lekhwair Overhead Line (450 km) and 132 kV North Oman Power Transmission Project, the Largest Power Transmission Project of Oman connecting Grid Substations of North Oman and many others.

Major projects currently in hand with AHEC include the A’Seeb Sewage Treatment Plant for Haya Water/Hyundai Rotem, Nimr-C Full Field Water Injection Project for PDO, Salalah Methanol Project for GS Engineering & Construction and a couple of projects in the Power sector in addition to Burhan-Hamal West Pipeline Project of PDO.
