Al Hassan Group organizes Painting competition for children (20 Jul 2014)
As part of its ongoing initiative to engage with the employees, Al Hassan recently organized a painting competition for the children of its employees at its head office in Muscat. The event witnessed an enthusiastic turnout from children of all age groups who were divided into three groups and given different topics to showcase their creativity. The competition is organized as an annual event meant to serve as a platform to recognize the talent of the children who are considered as the extension of the Al Hassan family.
The children were divided into three categories according to their age (3 to 5, 6 to 8 and 9 to 12 years) and different themes were given to them for drawing. For the age group of 6 to 8 and 9 to 12, the children were asked to express on the theme of ‘Protecting the Environment’ in order to spread awareness and sensitize them on energy conservation. However, the younger children were given the liberty of to draw pictures of their own interest. The enthusiasm of the children added an extra element of fun to the event. The paintings were evaluated on different parameters and the first three winners were declared on the spot and awarded cash prizes, gifts and certificates.
Al Hassan brings unique engagement initiatives for children from time to time to engage better with them as citizens of the future, to promote their talent and to create awareness on various critical issues like energy conservation. This painting competition is one such effort. We were delighted by the creativity and quality of the paintings by so many talented children.
