Al Hassan Group wins major HSE Award from OSC (26 April 2012)

Al Hassan Group won a major award for its stellar Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) performance at Oman's first HSE awards, instituted by Oman Society of Contractors (OSC), Oman’s leading Construction Industry Association.

The leading business group added another feather to its cap when it won second prize in the OSC Members Category which had as many as 18 companies as entrants.

The awards were presented to companies based on their HSE practice standards and achievements. The awards ceremony was held to coincide with the Institution of Occupational Health and Safety (IOSH) Middle East Conference.

Salim Talib al Sheedi, CEO of OSC, said that the HSE awards were decided based on companies' HSE activities, compliance to HSE policy, success and innovation in implementing the policy.

Commenting on the award, Mr. Peter Hall, Chief Executive Officer, Al Hassan Engineering Co. SAOG, said, "We are extremely proud to receive this prestigious award. This represents the best of our company in terms of leadership, engagement, communications, and commitment to achieving safety excellence.
