AHEC gets award of ORPC Power Plant Construction from Hirbodan-HICO (30 Aug 2008)

Al Hassan Engineering Co. SAOG (AHEC), part of the Al Hassan Group of Companies and one of the leading EPC and Contracting Companies in Oman, added yet another feather in its cap by winning an order from HICO FZE, Dubai (part of Iran based Hirbodan Group) for Mechanical, Electrical & Instrumentation (MEI) installation works of the Co-generation Power Plant being set up by Hirbodan-HICO FZE for Oman Refineries & Petrochemicals Company (ORPC) at Mina Al Fahal, Muscat.

Hirbodan-HICO FZE consortium has been awarded this project to be executed on EPC basis by ORPC. The Co-generation Plant will meet OPRC’s increased demand for both Power & Steam for the existing refinery.

The Power Plant comprises of Gas Turbines, Heat Recovery Steam Generators, Auxiliary Boilers and associated units. AHEC has already started its site activities. The order value for AHEC is more than US $ 7 million with a project completion duration of only 12 months which is a challenging task.
