Press ReleasesAl Hassan Engineering achieves 1000 LTI Free Days for PDO Nimr-C Project (01 November 2010)
According to Peter Hall, CEO-AHEC, the Nimr-C team achieved this significant milestone through a number of key factors. He stressed that the implementation of programmes such as the Safety Training Observation Programme (STOP), Permit to Work systems and the Job Safety Analysis (JSA) tool box meetings were integral to the success of the site’s zero LTI performances. "We put in place a very strong emphasis on risk assessment, which went a long way to reducing the potential for incidents and injuries in the first place. The continuing process of educating our people in the area HSE provides all current and future apprentices, tradesmen, supervisors and managers with a safer workplace," Hall said. He added that the LTI-free milestone indicated the focus and commitment to safety procedures by AHEC and its Nimr-C project site employees. Nimr-C Project has not been alone in achieving excellent LTI-free results for the company. AHEC’s A’Seeb Waste Water Project in association with Hyundai Rotem for Haya Water has achieved 3.2 million LTI free man-hours while for PDO’s Kawther Depletion Compression Project for Petrofac it has achieved 1.5 million LTI free man-hours. "This builds on AHEC’s philosophy that our own employees should take ownership of their safety and that of their fellow workers. The achievement of these LTI-free milestones at Nimr-C and other project sites is a good example of putting our investment in training and safety education into practice." |

For the PDO Nimr-C Full Field Water Injection Project, Al Hassan Engineering Co. SAOG (AHEC) has recently achieved a new milestone in lost-time injury-free days, when 1000 LTI-free days were achieved.
