Hi-Tech Services and Supplies and KBL: 120 years of Pumps (15 March 2010)

Hi-Tech services and Supplies LLC (Hi-Tech), part of Trading SBU (Oman) of Al Hassan Group and Kirloskar Brothers Limited (KBL), its long time partner, celebrated their partnership and KBL's 120 years of existence at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Muscat.

Hi-Tech is the "rising star" supplier of mechanical equipment in the Sultanate of Oman for the projects sector. Hi-Tech caters to the Oil & Gas, Petrochemicals, Water & Wastewater, Industrial and Commercial sectors and has a list of prestigious project references such as the Majis Common Cooling Water System (CCWS) in Sohar and PDO's Burhan Gas Pipeline Project.

Kirloskar Brothers (KBL), one of the world’s top leader in pumps which was created in 1890, has many reasons to celebrate. Not only does it turn 120 years old this year, KBL also recently completed the Majis CCWS Project which included Engineering, Procurement & Construction (EPC) as well as Operations and Maintenance (O&M). In addition to these landmark achievements in Oman, KBL is celebrating the inception of its Kirloskarwadi Plant 100 years ago.

The evening was highlighted by presentations which showcased the wide array of applications and sectors in which KBL pumps can be utilized such as Power, Industry, Desalination and Building and Construction with an emphasis on energy consumption and maintenance cost reduction.

The room was teeming with esteemed consultants, engineers, contractors and end users with their eyes squarely fixed on the valuable information on the screen. Also in attendance were Mr. Hassan Ali Salman, Chairman of the Al Hassan Group; Eng. Talal Al Assaad, CEO - Manufacturing & Trading; Mr. Abbas Jamal, GM - Trading SBU(Oman) and from the KBL India Headquarters, the team was led by Mr. Alok Kirloskar, GM- Corporate Marketing along with a delegation of distinguished engineers and executives.

The large attendance is a testimony to the importance attached to the Water sector in Oman and the trust that these stakeholders have in Hi-tech and its partners.
