Al Hassan appoints GM for Manufacturing SBU (6 August 2011)

Al Hassan Group has appointed Akos Naar as General Manager for its Manufacturing Strategic Business Unit, comprising Al Hassan Switchgear Manufacturing Co. LLC (AHSG), Al Hassan Power Industries LLC (AHPI) and Al Hassan Lighting and Fan Industries LLC.

With over 20 years of experience in Power Engineering and Automation technologies, Naar will be responsible for driving Al Hassan’s strategy to grow its share of the Switchgear market. Naar has impeccable academic credentials including an MBA from Newport University, California and an M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from BME, Budapest. A Hungarian native, Akos is fluent in Italian and English and conversant in German, Russian and Urdu.

Naar’s past experience includes senior positions at various blue chip companies including Crompton Greaves, Ganz Transelektro and Ganz Ansaldo. He hopes to use this experience to help Al Hassan identify suitable niche areas for its Switchgear offering. "I hope to significantly increase Al Hassan’s market share for Switchgear products, by delivering not only the products to meet our customers’ needs but also levels of service and support previously unseen in the market to back them up".
