Kameshwar Rao of Al Hassan Engineering wins 'Engineer of the year' award at Construction Week Oman Awards 2013 (23 March 2013)
Al Hassan Engineering Co. SAOG (AHEC), Oman’s leading Engineering, Procurement & Construction (EPC) recently announced that Mr. Kameshwar Rao - Engineer' Civil & Water Business Stream, has won the prestigious Engineer of the Year Award at the Construction Week Awards Oman 2013. The awards were among 12 presented at a gala event held at Hotel Grand Hyatt in Muscat to honor, reward and recognize the achievements of the Omani construction industry.
'Engineer of the Year' was a hotly contested category however the judging panel which consisted of eminent personalities from GCC's construction industry were convinced about Kameshwar Rao's win as his entry provided well structured evidence of substantial achievements. He has been recognized for his role in the successful completion of a crucial emergency water reservoir project for AHEC and has been praised for his demonstration of technical ability, commitment to the company, excellent relationship management skills with customer and colleagues, investment into his own professional development and mentoring employees with less experience.
Commenting on the award, Mr. Peter Hall, CEO-AHEC said, "Kameshwar is a talented and versatile engineer. He has played a pivotal role in securing and managing the Emergency Water Reservoir Project from Public Authority for Electricity & Water, for us. He had been assigned the key role of excavation, transportation and disposal to the designated locations of the city and Kamesh's proven technical expertise, self motivated spirit and relationship skills helped tide through several challenges that came in the way to achieve successful completion of the project. His achievements were highly commended last year as well during the inaugural edition of the Construction Week Awards Oman and this year we are very happy that he has won the accolade."
Besides winning the award for The Engineer of the Year, Oman, Al Hassan Engineering featured amongst the finalists in other categories like CSR and HSE initiative of the year as well.
