Al Hassan extends support to Zubaidiya Football & Social Club (15 Sep 2013)
True to its commitment to supporting varied sporting activities in the country and as a part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme, the Al Hassan Group, Oman’s leading business house engaged in Contracting, Manufacturing & Trading activities, recently supported the activities of the Zubaidiya Football & Social Club, one of the leading sports clubs in Muscat.
In a glittering ceremony held at the club, Mr. Murtadha Mohsin, Head of Corporate and Government Affairs, Al Hassan Group and Mr. Ali Maqbool, Director, Al Hassan Manufacturing & Trading division, received a special memento of a football jersey bearing the number 10 - from the dignitaries for its support. The ceremony was attended by the Deputy Wali of Mutrah and respected members of the Majlis Al Shura apart from senior members of the club. The presentation ceremony was followed by promising young Omani’s displaying their football skills for everyone to witness.
"We believe that it is the duty of organizations which benefited from the country's Renaissance to contribute positively to the development of Sports in Oman so that the youth of the country can excel in all kinds of sporting activities. We are very happy to extend our humble support in this regard to the Zubaidiya Football Club which is doing good work in the field of promoting Omani sporting talent. I hope in the future too we are able to associate with them." Said Mr.Ali Maqbool on the occasion.
