Al Hassan organizes Blood donation drive (19 January 2013)
As part of its ongoing Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives, the Al Hassan Group recently organized a blood donation drive at the head office in Muscat in collaboration with the Central Blood Bank of Oman (CBB).The initiative witnessed enthusiastic participation from many of the employees in a two day period.
On the occasion, the Managing Director of the Group, Mr. Maqbool Ali Salman expressed his gratitude to all the volunteers and said, "At Al Hassan the blood donation drive is organized periodically in support of the Ministry of Health's charitable initiatives. We recognize that blood donation is the responsibility of every healthy individual and therefore the objective of this event is to engage the employees for the cause of good health. After all what can be more noble than saving someone's life?"
Organized under the supervision of the Head of HSE Mr. K.C.Prabhakaran, a team from the CBB set up a camp at the office premises to conduct the blood donation drive. Each candidate underwent a preliminary health screening prior to donation to ensure that the blood collected is free from any infections.
The Al Hassan Group of Companies has always been committed to the cause of giving back to the community through meaningful initiatives. The Blood Donation drive is one such activity under our CSR programme which is organized on a periodic basis to create a culture of 'giving back'.
