Al Hassan Group organises blood donation camp (31 Jan 09)

As a service to the community, Al Hassan Group organised a Blood Donation Camp in association with the Directorate General of Health Affairs, Ministry of Health at Al Hassan Corporate Office as well as Switchgear Factory on Jan. 26 and Jan. 27, 2009.

Al Hassan's staff, management and shop floor workers came forward and enthusiastically participated in this noble cause.

Commenting on the company's initiative Mr Mohammed Khamis Al Khabori, Sr. General Manager - Administration Affairs of the Al Hassan Group said, "As a responsible corporate entity, Al Hassan is deeply committed to the community. Given the regular need for blood at hospitals and blood banks across Oman, it is desirable to organise a Blood Donation Camp and thus contribute to the healthcare sector. We will continue such social service in the future."

Al Hassan Group has been at the forefront of several such corporate social responsibility initiatives in the past. Apart from collection of blood, the camp also increased awareness of the importance of voluntary blood donation to a large number of people. In addition to sharing social responsibilities, Al Hassan also organises events and hosts seminars on the topic of Health, Safety and Environment in various sectors.
