Al Hassan Engg. Co. SAOG gets EPC work for Amal Power Plant from PDO (22 Jul 09)

Al Hassan Engineering Co. SAOG (AHEC), part of the Al Hassan Group of Companies and one of the leading Engineering, Procurement & Construction (EPC) Companies in Oman, achieves yet another milestone by winning an EPC Contract for execution of a 2 x 126 MW (ISO) rated Gas based Open Cycle Power Plant project for Petroleum Development Oman (PDO) at their Amal Facility. This multi-million dollar project is to be executed on EPC basis over a period of 24 months.

With the Amal Power Station EPC contract, AHEC builds upon its already extensive experience of having been involved with the construction of more than 2000 MW of installed Power in Oman including the Largest Power Plant in Oman, the 1000 MW Sohar Aluminium Captive Power Plant and the largest Power Plant Projects undertaken in the PDO network at Qarn Alam & Mukhaizna.

Commenting, Mr. Hassan Ali Salman, Chairman of AHEC said, "We are extremely happy to be entrusted with this contract. The AHEC healthy current order book includes a number of major projects under varying stages of construction; the A'Seeb Sewage Treatment Plant for Haya Water/Hyundai Rotem, Nimr-C Full Field Water Injection Project for PDO, Burhan West - Harmal Pipeline Project for PDO, Salalah Methanol Project for GS Engineering & Construction and a number of other projects in the Power sector in addition to Civil works for a Sub-station for Siemens in Dubai.
