Al Hassan Switchgear wins major export order for Qatar's utility major KAHRAMAA (31 July 2010)

Al Hassan Switchgear Manufacturing Co. LLC (AHSG), Manufacturing arm of Al Hassan Group has been recently awarded a multi-million dollar order to design and supply low voltage switchgear panels from Siemens Qatar, Hyosung and Siemens LLC Abu Dhabi.

The order feeds into Phase IX expansion of Qatar General Electricity and Water Corporation (KAHRAMAA) the latest stage to upgrade Qatar’s power transmission infrastructure.

AHSG will also supervise the installation, testing and commissioning of the Low voltage switchgear panels for this project.

AHSG launched an expansion program in early 2009 with investments in new manufacturing facilities at Buraimi. The expansion program has increased the company's production capacity significantly, helping AHSG make strong headway in domestic and international markets of main distribution boards, sub main distribution boards, motor control centres, intelligent motor control centres, feeder pillars and street lighting panels, synchronising panels, power factor correction panels and other custom-designed panels.

Established in 1992, AHSG designs and manufactures a comprehensive range of low and medium voltage switchgear that are used throughout the Middle East in the government and private sectors. A recipient of many industry awards, AHSG has been recently involved with many prominent projects, including Salalah Methanol, Sohar Aromatics, PDO Amal Power Plant, Tilal Commercial Complex, New Psychiatric Hospital at Amerat and New Bank Muscat Head Office.
