Al Hassan Electricals secures major Lighting order for Asian Beach Games (01 August 2010)

The Commercial Lighting Division of Al Hassan Electricals has recently announced that it has been awarded a contract for the supply of Lighting to the prestigious Asian Beach Games Project. The Asian Beach Games were established by the Olympic Council of Asia, and are held every two years. The 2010 Muscat Asian Beach Games will be the second event, scheduled to be held in December 2010.

At the heart of the 2nd Asian Beach Games Muscat 2010 lies the one-million sq m Al-Musannah Sports City. The purpose built facility is planned for completion in October 2010 and is located 125km north of Muscat.

Al-Musannah Sports City features a four-star hotel, serviced apartments, an events plaza, an Athletes’ Village, a range of retail and restaurant facilities, and a 400-berth marina. The Asian Beach Games project will become an important landmark for tourism in Oman, attracting athletes from all over the world long after the Games themselves have finished.

AHE will be the exclusive Lighting Supplier for the Marina Apartments & Front of House, Command Center, Four Star Hotel and the External Beach Games Lighting. The products being supplied are from various renowned international principals of AHE including Illuma UK, WE-EF Germany & Osram/Traxon – Germany.

Also, as part of its commitment to provide Environment Friendly Solutions, AHE has provided LED lighting strip of up to 2000 meter in the hotel rooms.

This prestigious order was secured by AHE’s dedicated & professional Lighting Team after several rounds of discussions with the developer (Omran), main contractor (L&T Oman) and Lighting Designer (Bo Steiber Singapore).

The specialized lighting division of AHE provides industrial and project lighting solutions. Some of its recent projects include The Royal Opera House Muscat, The Wave Muscat, Qurum City Centre, National Bank of Abu Dhabi Head Office, New Digital TV Studio Complex.
