Al Hassan Engineering Company S.A.O.G. (AHEC) is committed to ensuring the quality of all projects by adhering to ISO 9001 : 2008 standards.

ISO 9001:2008 Certificate

In acknowledgement of AHEC’s commitment towards Quality, it has been accredited with the internationally-acclaimed Quality Management System Certificate ISO 9001:2000 since 1996 and has achieved ISO 9001:2008 in Oct. 2009. AHEC has a substantial library of method statements and welding procedures developed over a period of time as a result of the number of complex projects completed. Welding procedures include metals such as Carbon Steel, Alloy Steel, Stainless Steel, Duplex Stainless Steel, Aluminium, Titanium as well as non-metals such as GRP, GRE, HDPE, etc.

AHEC has also qualified its welding procedures for Submerged Arc Welding Process which enables substantial progress in its welding production rate.

ASME Stamps

In Sept. 2008, AHEC has obtained the coveted ASME "U" and "S" stamps for its works at Muscat. The ASME “S” Stamp is for the manufacture and Assembly of Power Boilers as per ASME-BPV Code section – I; while the ASME “U” Stamp is for the manufacture of Pressure Vessels as per ASME-BPV Code section - VIII Div. I.

Since 1916, American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) has accredited companies to certify that their products, services and quality systems comply with ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel (BPV) Code, which establishes the rules governing design, fabrication, and inspection of boilers & pressure vessels during manufacture and assembly. The ASME Code Stamps are regarded as a hallmark of acceptance and certification and indicate that the product conforms to the latest edition of the ASME BPV Codes. The ASME Code Stamp is accepted in over 100 countries as a means of meeting their government safety regulations. AHEC is now one of the few companies in Oman to be accredited with these prestigious certifications.
