Power Plants

AHEC provides EPC services for the complete construction/erection and Balance-of-Power (BoP) plant packages including Pipelines and Transmission Lines.

It can very well execute complex construction and develop optimum designs for auxiliary packages like Fuel Systems, HVAC, Water Systems, Fire Fighting Systems, Electrical and BoP Instrumentation.

Amal Power Station

Customer: Petroleum Development Oman
Location: Amal, South Oman
Year of Award: 2009

Project Synopsis: Installation of two frame 9E, 252 MW GT. Installation of two HRSG, two 142 MVA transformer, Mark VI GT control panel, Distribution board, associate cabling and termination. Design, Supply & Construction of Gas Treatment Plant with piping, Two Electrical Unit Building, Two Gas Treatment Building, OHL from Amal to AP01 34.4 Km with ELM Conductors. Supply, Design & Install of 415V LV Switch Board and termination. Supply & Installation of: 6.6 km MVUAS, 240V AC Batteries, 125V DC Batteries, SCADA, EDG, Instrument air Compressor, DM, SW tanks and Pumps, MAC,DCS & FGS, 15 MVA & 6.6 KVA Transformers, Associate Piping, Cabling and Termination.Commissioning of GT. Supply and Fixing of HVAC AC.

Achievement: Becomes First Omani Company to win an EPC contract from PDO in Power Plant sector.

Heat Recovery Steam Generators

Customer: Occidental Oman/Gulf Steam Generators
Location: Mukhaizana, South Oman
Year of Award: 2008

Project Scope: Erection and Installation of 2 X Once-Through HRSG Boilers containing Diverter Dampers, Pressure & Non-pressure Pipings for Frame 9E Gas Turbines.

Achievement: This is a first-of-a-kind job and will be a pioneer for steam injection projects in the region.

2 x 25 MW Gas Turbine based Cogeneration Plant

Customer: Oman Refineries & Petrochemicals Company (ORPC) / Hirbodan - HICO FZE, Iran
Location: Mina Al Fahal, Oman

Project Synopsis: The project is to build a 2 X 25 MW Gas Turbine based cogeneration plant which will be used in the refinery.

Project Scope: MEI erection work for the Co-generation Power plant comprising of 2 x Frame 5 GT Generators, 2 x HRSG, 1 x Auxiliary Boiler, Demineralization Plant, Desalination Unit

1000 MW Combined Cycle Power Plant

Customer: Sohar Aluminium Company, Oman / Alstom, France
Location: Sohar Industrial Area, Oman
Year of Award: 2006

Project Synopsis: Captive power plant to meet the demand of electric power for the first ever Aluminum smelter in Oman owned by Sohar Aluminum Company. This power plant is the largest ever greenfield power project in Oman.

Project Scope: MEI installation of Combined Cycle Power Plant consisting of 4 X 165 MW GT, 4 X HRSG , 2 X 250 MW Steam Turbines and BoP facilities

1 X 120 MW Open Cycle Power Plant

Project Synopsis: First ever Independent Power and Water Project of Oman

Project Scope: Installation of Siemens V 94.2e Gas Turbines and associated equipment. Installation of Titanium Condenser, Deaerator and associated Structural and Piping works.

3 X 30 MW Open Cycle Power Plant
