AHEC is one of the major pipeline contracting companies in Oman actively catering to the needs of Oil, Gas & Petrochemicals, Power, Water and Wastewater Sectors. We have installed over 1000 km of onshore pipelines in addition to the pipelines associated with Oil, Gas & Petrochemicals and Power Plants executed by us.

We are one of the few contracting companies to have executed upto 48” Dia gas pipelines in Oman. Our expertise also lies in successfully handling complicated DSS Pipelines with very strict quality standards.

We have the capabilities and a proven track record in pipelines execution with high Quality and HSE standards in environmentally sensitive areas such as brown fields, city areas, cross country, deserts, valleys and mountains.

With our expertise, speed, a large bank of specialised pipeline construction equipment, experienced manpower and cost effective solutions, AHEC has established itself as one of the preferred Pipeline contractors.

Burhan West - Harmal Pipeline

Customer: Petroleum Development Oman
Location: Burhan West and Harmal
Year of Award: 2009

AHEC Scope of Work: Construction of Duplex Stainless Steel (DSS) flowlines & pipelines at both locations; 45 km at Burhan West and 16 km at Harmal. Installing Fibre Optic Cables along the Pipelines, 55 km of 33 kV Overhead Lines on concrete poles, temporary and permanent Cathodic Protection System

Achievements: At the request of the client (PDO), AHEC expedited the important gas related project and rescheduled the “already fast-track” project activities so as to achieve record completion 4 months ahead of original schedule.
First PDO Project to include a 33 kV Overhead Line using Concrete Poles instead of usual wooden poles.
Burhan Project Camp received a special recognition certificate from PDO.

Additional Flowlines and Associated Facilities

Customer: Petroleum Development Oman
Location: Saih Nihayda, Saih Rawl and Bariq, Oman
Year of Award: 2006

Project Scope: Construction of 4 X 10” DSS Bulk Lines, 11 X 8” DSS Flowlines and CMEI Works for Terminals, Well Heads and Midline Tie-ins.

Achievement: PDO issued an appreciation letter for completing the project in 560 days without a single lost time incident.

Gas Export Capacity Increase Pipeline

Customer: Petroleum Development Oman
JV Partner: Punj Lloyd, India
Locations: Saih Nihayda to Sur
Year of Award: 2004

Project Scope: Construction of 265 km of 48" Gas Pipelines, Procurement and Construction of 8 X Block Valve Stations to transport Natural Gas from Saih Nihayda to LNG Plant at Qalhat, near Sur

Achievements: 21 km Lowering in a Single Day
First time use of Rock Trenchers, Ultrasonic Testing, Vacuum Lift and Automatic Welding on any PDO pipeline in Oman
2 km Welding of 48" dia Pipe in a Single Day with Single Spread

Award: Second Best Project award by PDO in 2005.

Pipeline Construction Project

Customer: Petroleum Development Oman
Location: Mukhaizna, Oman
Year of Award: 1999

Project Scope: Construction of Sadad to Mukhaizna Class I Underground Pipelines comprising 12" CS Crude Line, 3” CS Gas Line and 8” CS Diluent Line, each 30.7 km.

Oil Export Replacement Pipeline

Customer: Petroleum Development Oman
Locations: Amin to Karim West, Oman
Year of Award: 1998

Project Scope: Laying of 34” x 21 km, above ground Zigzag Configuration Pipelines from Amin to Karim West to NRPS and 20” x 400 m NRPS Export Replacement Pipeline

Achievement: The lining on 34" pipe was done in Oman for the first time
