I am delighted to be leading this "dedicated company" which has been playing a key role in the development of Oman in the oil, gas, petrochemicals, power and water industries for more than three decades. The owners had the vision to create Al Hassan Engineering Company SAOG (AHEC), the first publicly listed Omani Contracting company. Their efforts have established the successful foundations of the Company which has grown many folds in last two decades and employs over 4500 personnel today. Due to the great reputation that the AHEC brand enjoys, many of its clients have entrusted to AHEC, a number of landmark projects which have been undertaken for first time in Sultanate of Oman. I am excited to lead my talented management team of professionals through our next phase of growth both domestically and internationally.

If I had one word to describe Al Hassan, it would be "entrepreneurial". The company really encourages employees to seek out what they do best, and to innovate wherever they can. At Al Hassan, the focus is on success, so people are willing to do a variety of tasks to make projects work. At Al Hassan, I have a privileged position to make a significant difference in the way business is done. In my Group Business Development role, I have full support of top management to explore unchartered areas for the growth of the diversified businesses in Contracting, Trading and Manufacturing. One of my key responsibilities is to act as a global sourcing agent to bring in new Principals and Products. I have found Al Hassan to have an environment that is very congenial and conducive to growth. Over the last thirty years, I had the privilege of working with many top class organizations within the Middle East but I have found my experience with Al Hassan Group to be the most enriching one. Oman with an endless array of fascinating places to visit and explore leaves a unique and lasting impression on everyone who is fortunate enough to come here.

It would be fair to say that my career with Al Hassan Group which spans over two and a half decades, has been a series of reinventions. The industry, the environment it operates in and the nature of work itself has transformed significantly since my first role. The Group continues to offer me opportunities to grow and move with the times and gives me a variety of challenges I need to stay fresh and creative. So from my start with Apparel Machinery, I have then moved through Building Materials, Paints, Sales, Marketing, Commercial and now head the Trading SBU in Oman. I have had a diverse and exciting time, and met some great people along the way. I survived and became stronger through the inevitable lows and relished the exhilarating highs.

My journey with Al Hassan began in 1992, when our contracting business was still in its infancy. Over the past 18 years, I have witnessed Al Hassan consistently exceed expectations and achieve record breaking results. Today, as General Manager of the Plant Support Services, I take great pride in my team’s contribution towards Al Hassan’s success.
Even though the Plant Department’s diverse team of managers, engineers, supervisors, technicians, operators and drivers are posted in various locations throughout Oman, still there is a consistent and steadfast commitment to positive results and an optimistic outlook which enables them to overcome any logistical challenge. Each team member strives to perfectly execute his role in attaining our collective target of "Zero Breakdown". As a key department in a result-driven engineering business we don’t view tasks as mere processes but tiny steps towards the achievement of our Group's goals.
We work with a constant focus on learning from mistakes and self-improvement. We view challenges as opportunities to grow and learn, as well as strengthen team ethics – no individual priorities are placed above the organization’s interests in our work. This dedication to the Group's well-being creates a spirit of helpfulness and accommodation which greatly enhances the overall working environment. Our culture of unity and discipline is cultivated and encouraged through numerous team building seminars and event celebrations.
